At first glance, I thought I was looking at a Forester.... then I saw the larger photo and th ought something isn’t right.

Not a bad looking CR-V.

oh yes! Much better. I’ll take the blue one. I love those Volk (or knockoff ) wheels.

Lowering the CR-V makes it look even more chonky.

Later gen CRVs used a K based motor, I think.

Also, there's a company that makes kits to swap CRV clips with AWD and B or K motors into old school Minis.  Ive always wanted to build one, I think if would be a riot.  8000 RPM K20, manual, AWD, and redonkulously wide fender flares with little 12" wheels.  Bonkers!

Partly because we are predisposed the lowering of Forester, and also the similar shape from the front to the c- pillar.

I like the chonk. Love the weird stubby proportions on a car. Never thought anything of  the crv untik I saw this image.

Sure, but then one day you wake up and realized you’ve spent 20  grand on a 90s Honda and think to yourself, “you know, there are dozens of cars I could have used this money better on”. I didn’t spend that much on my 90s Honda, but I’m not putting much more money or effort into it.
